For Melissa
I'll never forget that fateful day
When I was told you'd gone away
Or the pain I felt when I was told that
You Would never be coming back
My memories of you are just a blur
But one memory remains clear as day
As I looked to the front of the church
Through misted eyes where your coffin lay
I Never cried so hard before that day
Nor have I felt that much pain
I'd give my own life just for one day
Where I could see you again
But life goes on or so I'm told
Though you'll stay in my heart til I grow old
And though years pass, I'll never cease
To love you Melissa please rest in peace
