By The Wayside

The Games you play,
The words you say,
It all comes down to just one thing.
You try and tell me
Just how much you care,
All your
Lies
Manged their way
Into my
Heart. I
Believed
You, I thought you
Cared,
Thought you
Loved me.

Use me,
Abuse me,
Cast me by the wayside when you're done.

I am a rag doll:
There to comfort your
Childish heart
When you need me;
Thrown into the toybox,
Locked out of sight
When you decide my job has been done.

Use me,
Abuse me,
Cast me by the wayside when you're done.

I am your first car:
Loved with pride
For a time.
Something better,
More exciting
Becomes available.
Traded in,
Thrown
Into the hands
Of someone else.
My being loses your interest.
When you find something
Bigger,
Better,
More fun.

Use me,
Abuse me,
Cast me by the wayside when you're done.

I begin to wonder,
Is this how you treat
All your
(so called)
Friends?
Are they no more than
Quick fixes
When you're down,
And then
Forgotten,
Ignored,
Abandoned
When they have helped to pull you back up?

Use me,
Abuse me,
Cast me by the wayside when you're done.

I've learned the rules of your games,
Interpreted the language of your words,
It all comes down to just one thing.
Don't try to tell me
Just how much you care,
All your
Lies
Will no longer find their way into
My heart.
I won't believe you,
I don't
Care,
I won't
Love you.

Use me,
Abuse me,
Cast me by the wayside when you're done.

The rag doll is gone.
The new car broke down.
Who's there to pick up the pieces
Of your
Broken Life?
No longer me,
You'll have to find someone else
Stupid
Enough to believe your lies.
I'm not there, You can
Go to hell.

Use me,
Abuse me,
Cast me by the wayside when you're done.
